The School of Permaculture Arts is based in Motueka and was due to be launched in winter 2026. However, due to the current fuel crisis and concern about availability of food, fuel, and resources, increasing numbers of people are keen to learn practical skills towards living a resilient, healthy, and sustainable life so it will be open soon, even though the facilities are not yet ready.
If you would like to participate in creating this project please contact us. Contributors will get free or discounted workshops, depending on how many hours they contribute. And some fresh organic seasonal fruit.
Planned workshops at the Garden of Eden School of Permaculture Arts include topics such as foraging, organic gardening, keeping hens, growing your own tea, making dairy products including cheese and butter, composting, biochar, mending clothes, herbal medicine, beekeeping, forest gardens, etc.
